These two and their handsome daddy are my world. 

Little baby "N" (yes she has a name now- nope we aren't sharing yet) is due to make her debut in a little under two weeks- if not before then. Her room has been fun and challenging at the same time. I wanted something neutral and welcoming- nothing over the top- something that fit right into our home. And since its officially complete she is welcome to quit kicking my ribs and come anytime- anytime little one. 

By far my favorite thing about this room is this white wall- designed to look like an old wood farmhouse wall i couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out! 

In case you were wondering we will fill those frames with pictures of her once she arrives- but until then we are content with the photos we took to share the news of her arrival with our families. And the frame in the middle- thats my baby blanket- her name is pinky. It once was bright pink with sheep and now its grey and see-through. It makes me so happy to see it hanging on her wall. 

 the room is complete with one big brother whose patiently awaiting her arrival! (we secretly are praying he likes her- poor guy has no idea how badly his world is about to get turned upside down)!

We long ago decided that when it was time to find out what Baby H. is we wanted to include of course mr.dog and our families. So here's how yesterday went- at the ultrasound we requested that we not be shown the gender of the baby- (I can't begin to tell you how hard it was not to open our eyes!) the ultrasound tech then sealed the pictures and the gender of the baby inside an envelope. We then waited six very long hours until all our families could be together! We had our oldest niece and nephew go inside the house open the envelope and dress mr. dog in the appropriate color! As soon as he was dressed they released him out the front door to surprise everyone- including us! I can't tell you how shocked we were to see what color he was wearing... 

It's a GIRL! We were completely shocked (we were positive it was a boy)- but we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome a sweet little lady into our family!  

It's true. 

We are excited, thrilled and quite nervous. 

oh and this helps explain the lack of blogging- 

gotta love the 24/7 morning sickness. 

A few weeks ago we are lucky enough to meet up with the fantastically talented bryan & mae for a little photo session. It was quite odd to be on the other side of the camera- lets just say i'm about as unnatural as one can possibly be. But after everything i absolutely love how they turned out- i'm so grateful to have these images of us together- they capture this moment in our life just perfectly. 

this weekend. 

we celebrated our anniversary by staying at a charming old bed and breakfast- 

 i can't begin to tell you how nice it was to go away with the drover and be together. 

life is always so busy it was wonderful to just be us for a few days.  

we did mange to catch my sisters group the folka dots at the opening of the new city creek area- you should check them out- they are amazingly talented and have such a fun sound!

and last but certainly not least we were able to get some time in at the park with mr. dog. that boy loves a frisbee!

Have i mentioned the drovers is quite the charmer? He knows just how to make me weak in the knees. Case and point- this weekend he spent an entire afternoon at the museum of natural history- not because history or museums are really his thing- but because he knows how to spoil a girl on her birthday! 

 and if your out this way- you should defiantly check out the new natural history museum- it's simply amazing!
