This weekend we headed up to a little reservoir with some friends and their adorable kids. Hands down the best part about where we live is that you can get in the car and be completely surrounded by beautiful wilderness in less than an hour. I'm pretty sure mr. dog would have happily spent the entire afternoon retrieving every piece of wood out of the water. That boy loves the water! And i love spending the day with my two boys enjoying the mountains and sunshine.

life is better with friends.

Its been one of those weeks.
Physically i'm tired- emotionally i'm exhausted. My job (where i care for the four legged furry kind) went through big changes this week. We said goodbye to two wonderful friends and coworkers- whom are more like family. They are moving on- and so are we. After working together for 7 years its hard to say goodbye. We shed lots of tears- but change- change is good.

and speaking of change... we decided to sell our house. why? hmmmm... change is good. And we are ready for a new adventure. New house- new city- sure why not?

so in hopes of recovering from an dramatic week we spent today sleeping in later than i can remember, eating breakfast in bed, and lounging with family. But above everything else i feel blessed to have these two boys to love.

whose ready for monday?!!

Have you ever played loaded question? It by far is my favorite game- and that means a lot coming from me as i am a non-game playing person. Anyways I don't think i have ever laughed so hard in my entire life as i did playing loaded question. A few weekends ago we spent a few days in the mountains with my co-workers and their spouses. I can honestly say i love all my co-workers and my boss- I consider each one of them a great friend. We had such a great weekend "bonding" and enjoying the beautiful wilderness. Plus i really loved that each one of them missed their pups just as much as we missed mr. dog. Case and point we aren't the only crazy ones with dogs who are treated like children!

I remember when we were little and kicking around a soccer ball was all that mattered. (and that time we weren't allow to wear our raiders jackets to school because the principal thought we were a gang- and when we went dateless in our prom dresses to the spaghetti factory- the memories go on and on) When did we grow up? Its so amazing to see life long friends bring beautiful babies into the world and fall right into motherhood- just like they were born to do it. Thanks 'w' family for letting me capture your little man- baby Owen is darling.

It was an unlikely friendship. Her mom was a cheerleader and well i played soccer. She ran around with the drover's group of high school friends and when i became a steady part of the his life- she became part of mine. And i couldn't be more thankful. See she was there to scrape me off the ground when the drover left on his mission and she quickly became one of my best friends. We had many adventures together- snowmobiling, car dancing, muddy buddy making, picture taking, road tripping, country dancing fun. And now she is a mama (and a mama before me)- wow are we really that grown up? Little Reagen is gorgeous but then again so is her mama.
