baby "H"

We long ago decided that when it was time to find out what Baby H. is we wanted to include of course mr.dog and our families. So here's how yesterday went- at the ultrasound we requested that we not be shown the gender of the baby- (I can't begin to tell you how hard it was not to open our eyes!) the ultrasound tech then sealed the pictures and the gender of the baby inside an envelope. We then waited six very long hours until all our families could be together! We had our oldest niece and nephew go inside the house open the envelope and dress mr. dog in the appropriate color! As soon as he was dressed they released him out the front door to surprise everyone- including us! I can't tell you how shocked we were to see what color he was wearing... 

It's a GIRL! We were completely shocked (we were positive it was a boy)- but we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome a sweet little lady into our family!  

I finally joined instagram- and i'm in love. Its perfect for the photo loving gal like myself- it defiantly makes me remember to break out that iphone camera once and a while. So without further ado here's some of this week in iphone photos-

In effort to get over the winter blues i ventured into the muddy soggy yard today to take pictures- of basically whatever i could find. Lets just say I'm so ready for green grass and sunshine!  

Mr. dog needs a hair cut- but for some reason i just can't part with these curls yet!  

just another day at the park. 

we're both wishing the drover wasn't gone so much- between work and school he's a busy man. I'm so grateful for all he does for our little family- but days like today i miss him. here's looking forward to the weekend! 

For me taking pictures is like therapy. After a long and exhausting day give me ten minutes right before sundown with my camera and i'm a happy girl. There's something calming about that shutter click- something reassuring about its weight in my hands. Its just easy- me and my camera. Oh and of course tonights subjects- mr. dog and his girl "red". 

I love getting mail- especially when it contains books! I love how our 2011 family photo book turned out (it was made from here). Although i take lot of pictures (like 12,000 from just last year)- i'm really bad at printing them. So i figured a book from each year was the best way to go. I included all our big events like vacations, family parties, holidays, births of new nephews etc- but i also included little events like our lazy sunday afternoons together, yard work, and adventures. I love looking back though it and remembering how much fun we have together- it makes me want to be even better at documenting/photographing 2012! And don't you love the name- it's kinda perfect!

Trying to beat the winter blues by piling 3 dogs into the car to go to the park. Then realizing once you make it to the park that the park is very wet and VERY muddy! Then realizing that this muddy trip to the park means more to the fuzzy guys than a clean car means to you. Then finally realizing that you must make it home and clean the leather interior of the new car before the drover comes home from work! 

 

Spent the day with these two cute boys! This very protective border collie and myself are sure gonna miss this cute little one when he goes home next week.   

 

Ahhh the snow finally came. Just in time for a lazy weekend filled with movies, morning cuddles, a costco trip and two snow filled adventures at the park. Love these two boys of mine.
