here is the real long drawn out version of our latest project. i saw this quilt in pottery barn a year or so ago and dreamed one day of how lovely it would look on our bed. fast forward a month or so ago i finally ordered the quilt. quilt arrives and i dream of how great it would look if we repainted the bedroom and put up beadboard or wainscoting. first i had to convince the drover this was a good idea. and that took a while. after one raining late night trip to lowes we gathered supplies. fast forward another few weeks to monday when we actually have 1 day off together to start the project. (side note: theres something about home improvement that brings out the worst in myself and the drover. we forget how to communicate like adults but somehow after its all said and done we forgive each other for how immature we both acted. and eventually laugh about it. eventually.) back to the project. so after one very long day we actually finished the project. and today after i scrubbed the remaining paint and caulk off our carpet it was complete. i'm done. no more projects for a while- well at least for a week.

Love the quilt. After nearly 13 years of marriage, Blake and I still have our "issues" when doing projects. My issue is that I am right and his issue is that I am right.

Yay!! I'm so glad that someone else has project communications problems. I was sure it was just us. Phew!

And I'm pretty sure you're house looks like one that should be in your magazines at the bottom of your bed.....
